Winter Writings: Day 20

The wild, winter wind
tossed the tempestuous moon
from a black night sky
while seeking the warmth of the sun.
Dawn giggled in delight
and dressed the morning sky
in frilly petticoats of pink and yellow
tied with ribbon made of
the song of tiny birds.
